i don’t remember who i was having this conversation with but i think part of the reason why 90s nostalgia is so big is that we were seemingly the last kids to grow up without the internet. it was around but it wasn’t integrated into our everyday life. we still had a childhood in the sense of coming home, doing homework and playing outside every single day until the street lights came on and maybe trying to sneak on the internet by putting that 50 free hours disk into your computer w/o your parents hearing that loud ass dial-up modem. now it seems like kids are like, coming home from school, logging into facebook and then going to bed. we were probably just as terrible as kids are today but there’s no evidence of it. that’s not to say that we had it better (altho we did haha), it’s just… different.
